Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Commits $60,000 To Five Area Non-Profits

Five area non-profits will receive a $4,000 grant donation from Arkansas Oklahoma Gas for three consecutive years

Fort Smith, Arkansas (August 15, 2023) – Arkansas Oklahoma Gas (AOG), a subsidiary of Summit Utilities, Inc. (Summit), announces it is committing a total of $60,000 in grant donations to five area non-profits. Each non-profit will receive the $4,000 grant in 2023, 2024, and 2025. AOG's new multi-year community giving grant program aims to allow chosen qualifying non-profit organizations to launch programs or continue their existing work that strengthens the social fabric of the communities AOG serves. The program's purpose is to provide sustained support for ongoing charitable programs while building lasting relationships between AOG and community organizations.

"AOG is committed to forming meaningful partnerships in the areas we serve, and we are honored to provide this resource for the next three years to local non-profits," said Fred Kirkwood, Chief Customer Experience Officer for AOG.

The organizations receiving the three-year grant funding are not-for-profit 501(c)(3) status organizations in the AOG service area. They are:

• Fort Smith Boys and Girls Clubs
• Donald Reynolds Cancer Support House
• Stepping Stone for Exceptional Children
• South Sebastian County Boys and Girls Clubs
• The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education Research Institute Health & Wellness Center

AOG is a community-oriented company, and in addition to supporting community causes, AOG also provides members of its team with up to 20 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer in the communities it serves.
